Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) through Evergreen Certifications
  • Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy (Clinical) from Whitecliffe College, Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Currently pursuing a PhD at The University of Auckland, focusing on the personal impact of masking as an Autistic woman

Professional Experience:

With over 8 years of experience working with Autistic individuals in educational, residential, and therapeutic settings, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs within the autism community. For the past two years I have worked as an ACC Sensitive Claims (ISSC) provider, specialising in supporting Autistic women heal from with sexual abuse trauma. Here I supported my clients by bringing a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach to this crucial work.

My work is driven by a commitment to fostering understanding, acceptance, and support for Autistic individuals. I aim to create a space where autistic experiences are valued, validated, and celebrated. I am passionate about seeing autism in a neuro-affirming way, and moving away from the medical model where it is only seen as a disorder.

On a personal note, I’m an nature lover with a particular fondness for trees, cats, whales, and bats. This love for the diversity of the natural world mirrors my appreciation for the rich tapestry of human neurodiversity. I can be found dancing in my living room or deeply engaged in my current book or journal article.
